All kinds of theatre companies from all over the world have produced Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens, and they’ve all had a very special time doing it.
See what they have to say about the experience...
“It was a great choice for us.”
“Unfortunately I didn’t get any complaints from the local villages – I would have enjoyed that!”
“I would thoroughly, thoroughly recommend Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens to anybody with a little bit of pizazz, vibe and spunk.”
Giles Wolfe, Riverside Players, UK, 2010
“Fun to rehearse, fun to be in and nothing quite like it!”
Jodie Mahan, Energy New Zealand, 2009
“It’s not as smutty as it seems. Some people were worried that it would be offensive, but actually it wasn’t. It was just really great fun. Saucy Jack is Disney compared to Rocky Horror!”
Peter Mennie, Simply Theatre, London Ontario, 2010
"Saucy Jack is one of the best, most fun shows I've ever been in. The energy from the cast, as well as the audience was absolutely electric. It is my dream to be able to perform this show again.... and I've never said that about any other show!"
Megan Schroder Bunny Lingus Simply Theatre, London, Ontario, 2010
“I miss being a Space Vixen. What a great show!”
Emma Jane Dixon , YOU theatre, Epsom, UK, 2011
“It was so much fun to be part of the show! And having a live bar inside the theatre was great for sales!”
Johanna Carlisle, Bartender, Nearly Naked theatre Arizona, 2010
“We did the show two years in a row because our audiences loved it so much. We put it in our thrust theatre main stage which seats about 200 and it was at 10 pm which gave the show a late night feel. We had groupies by the end of the run the first time and the second time it was amazing. I loved every minute! The show was just so fun and perfect for our University theatre. All audiences loved it, young and old… well not too young.”
“Several of our original cast have done the show in Anchorage again over the years in a bar setting, and it works there too. It was a wonderful experience. I’d do it again if I got the chance.”
Fran Lautenberger University of Alaska Anchorage, 2000
“I absolutely loved the show – don’t know how we can follow it really! How can we top that?”
Lisa Roberts, GHosTs, Guildford, 2003
“I can guarantee you’ll have so much fun you’ll never want to do another G&S or Rogers & Hammerstein again!”
Anne-Marie Greenway, GHosTs, Guildford, 2003
“Such a great experience! One of my favourite shows ever.”
Scotty Mullen (Sammy) Ark theatre LA, 2005
“I played Bunny in the first Burlington, VT cast. The script is wonderful, filled with innuendo without the use of profanity. My favorite part about the show was portraying a lusty, powerful (and lesbian) hero. There aren't many opportunities in musical theater for powerful female heroes.”
“Our production was staged in a bar. The character Mitch was played by one of the bar's owners. He actually worked the bar and staffed the venue with bar employees in costume. The experience for audience members as patrons at Saucy Jacks was amazing. My husband came to the show a few times. During intermission I invited him back stage for a photo with the Vixens. He had been so wrapped up in the show he behaved like a nervous fan meeting rock stars.”
“As a cast member, closing the show while dancing with our audience to "All I Need is Disco" was crazy fun. The show was so popular our company had to extend the run.”
Pam Dewey, Green Candle, Burlington VT, 1996
